This Landesknecht sword has a blade forged from high carbon tempered spring steel. The handcrafted hilt has a crossguard and pommel of rough forged steel and the grip is leather wrapped hardwood. The scabbard is made from leather and finished with steel plates at its tip.
The practical, combat version of this sword has a blunted edge of approximately 2-3 mm with a rounded point. This option was designed to be used for re-enactments or in a stage show.
