Viking Valknut Pendant in Fine Pewter

Our Valknut Pendant Necklace measures 1 1/2 across the base and 1 1/4 inches high and is suspended on a delicate chain with an overall length of 24 inches. It is cast from lead free pewter in the USA. This symbol is found on ancient Norse stone carvings. It is often called "Hrungnir's Heart", after the legendary giant of the Edaas. It is also know as the "knot of the fallen", and it has been found on stone carvings with funerary motifs, possibly a symbol of the afterlife. The nine points are suggestive of the nine worlds and the nine fates of Norse mythology.
